SCC Profile 2024

SCC aims to lift poor and marginalized households out of the vicious cycle of dependence by addressing the underlying causes of vulnerability to environmental and socioeconomic shocks. Our programs are focused on serving the most vulnerable and marginalized people in Somalia, namely children, adolescent boys and girls, women, persons with disabilities, people from minority clans, and internally displaced persons (IDPs). Since its inception, SCC has completed over 55 projects that have improved the lives of underprivileged and vulnerable women, children, and IDPs by providing food assistance, shelter, WASH, health, protection, education, peacebuilding, and capacity building. We partner with community organizations, leaders, and institutions to ensure our projects contribute to sustainable development. Our relationship with the beneficiary communities is central to our success. We design and implement projects with (and not just for) the local communities.
